Metered tanks just make sense
Pinnacle Propane is excited to offer one of our newest services, metered propane tanks. Our meters can be put on any existing tank and will allow us to make sure you never run out fuel. No more worrying about if you will have enough fuel for the busy season whenever that might be. With our metered tanks you only pay for what you use and with our lock in agreement you can be sure of that cost will be. Everyone can benefit from a focus on becoming sustainable. That’s why Pinnacle has its sights set on the development of sustainable fuels and renewable propane. The recently announced Inflation Reduction Act is expected to help the United States cut greenhouse gas emissions roughly 40% below 2005 levels by the end of the decade. But energy experts agree that more must be done to meet the goal of cutting emissions in half by 2030. The greatest obstacle to achieving the goal is not lack of innovation, but the belief by some that there is only one path (electrification) to that future. The answer is to replace everything that carries a high carbon intensity with a low- or zero-carbon intensity alternative.
Thanks to innovation already in play, we can do this today, and renewable propane is an important way to move forward. It is remarkably low carbon, and in certain blends, can even be carbon positive – that is, below zero in its carbon intensity. As a comparison, conventional propane is already 42% below grid electricity in carbon intensity when considering the full lifecycle from production to generation and distribution.
